Dr. Shafaat Pirani is a board-certified Geriatric Pharmacist who holds specialized certifications in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) from the American Pharmacists Association and a teaching certification from the University of South Florida. He also holds courtesy faculty appointments at both the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy, further strengthening his impact on the next generation of pharmacists.

Shafaat Bahram Pirani has been inducted into Phi Lambda Sigma, the national pharmacy leadership society, and actively contributes to professional organizations, including the American Pharmacists Association, National Community Pharmacists Association, National Association of Specialty Pharmacy, National Council of Prescription Drug Programs, and the Florida Pharmacists Association. As an inventor, Dr. Pirani holds a Provisional Patent for a "Method and Apparatus for Prescription Delivery," a mobile and web-based platform designed to improve medication access, adherence, and transparency. His background demonstrates a blend of clinical expertise and innovation, bringing a unique perspective to pharmacy leadership, digital product growth strategies, supply chain operations, hub and mail order pharmacy, telemedicine, and regulatory compliance.

Currently, Dr. Pirani serves as Chief Clinical Officer at Wellgistics Health (NASDAQ: WGRX), a next-generation pharmaceutical distributor based in Tampa. The company specializes in digital prescription routing and AI-powered hub fulfillment, streamlining access and improving pharmacy efficiency. As part of the executive team, he has been instrumental in developing interoperable digital health solutions and was pivotal in leading the company through its transition to becoming publicly traded.

Before this role, Dr. Pirani was the Chief Clinical and Regulatory Compliance Officer at Bonum Health and TRxADE Health (NASDAQ: MEDS). There, he focused on building compliant digital health platforms and scaling B2B2C programs to enhance patient outcomes while strengthening pharmacy sustainability. His leadership emphasized balancing regulatory demands with innovative solutions to promote safe, accessible healthcare technology.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Pirani held leadership roles as Executive Vice President at Alliance Pharma Solutions (DelivMeds), Senior Clinical Pharmacist and Director of Operations for a mail order facility, and Co-Founder of a non-profit interdisciplinary clinic serving low-income patients. His initiatives included expanding nationwide mail order services, spearheading Chronic Care Management and Pharmacogenomics partnerships, improving accreditation standards, and streamlining operations to optimize pharmacy workflows and costs.

In academia, Dr. Pirani has over a decade of experience as a Pharmacy Preceptor at BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic, where he advises pharmacy students in workflow design, patient interviewing, and interdisciplinary care. He has also served as a Geriatrics Preceptor at the University of South Florida, developing a curriculum that emphasized patient-centered care, pharmacotherapy principles, and targeted intervention programs. Additionally, he has guided students in non-sterile pharmaceutical compounding at both the University of Florida and USF.

Dr. Pirani earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy in 2015, following undergraduate studies in Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Florida in 2011. His educational foundation underscores his long-standing commitment to advancing health sciences and improving patient outcomes through both clinical care and innovation.

Beyond his professional and academic contributions, Shafaat Pirani of Florida is deeply engaged in philanthropy. He is an active donor to the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy, where the Dean’s Reception area is named in his honor.
